01 Purpose
These Terms of Use (the “Terms” or “EULA”) set out the rights and obligations relating to access to and use of the FaitDuJour mobile application (the “App”).
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.
02 Publisher
The App is published by Jeremy Dubois, operating under the FaitDuJour brand.

03 License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on your compatible devices for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
You may not copy, modify, decompile, redistribute, or commercially exploit the App (or any part of it) beyond what applicable law allows.
04 The service
FaitDuJour notably offers:
- facts and editorial content tied to a calendar date;
- exploration of years and archives (depending on plan);
- the ability to save favorites;
- optional reminders / notifications;
- Premium access via FaitDuJour+ (monthly or yearly).
Content is provided for informational and cultural purposes. Despite care in writing, we do not guarantee completeness or absence of errors. See also Sources & editorial method.
05 Auto-renewable subscriptions (FaitDuJour+)
Important (App Store / Play): payment is charged to your Apple or Google account. The subscription renews automatically unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Available offers may include:
- FaitDuJour+ (monthly) — auto-renewable monthly subscription;
- FaitDuJour+ (yearly) — auto-renewable yearly subscription.
Subscription terms:
- Price and duration are shown in the App and on the store product page at the time of purchase.
- A free trial (e.g. 14 days) may be offered. If not canceled before the trial ends, the paid subscription starts automatically.
- Manage and cancel in your store account settings (Apple: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions; Google: Play Store → Subscriptions).
- Refunds for the current period are generally not available from the publisher, except where required by law or store policy.
- Purchases can be restored on another device via “Restore purchases” in the App.
By subscribing, you confirm you have read these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
06 Your obligations
You agree to:
- use the App as intended and in accordance with the law;
- not circumvent Premium or security limitations;
- not mass-extract content for commercial purposes;
- not disrupt the service.
07 Intellectual property
The App, its structure, texts, visuals, trademarks, and software remain the property of the publisher or its licensors. Use of the App does not transfer any ownership rights.
08 Personal data
Processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of your relationship with the service.
09 Liability
The App is provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for interruptions, data loss, editorial inaccuracies, or indirect damages arising from use of the service.
10 Suspension and termination
You may stop using the App at any time and manage your subscription via the store. We may suspend access in case of a serious breach of these Terms.
11 Changes
We may update these Terms. The applicable version is the one published on this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance, subject to mandatory consumer protections.
12 Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law. Failing amicable resolution, French courts shall have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections.
